Deonté L. Warren (he/they) is currently Coordinator of Musical Theatre at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. He holds a Master of Music in Music Theatre Vocal Pedagogy (2021) from Carthage College where they also served as adjunct professor of musical theatre.
In addition to a robust private studio, working with singers of all levels from beginners to Broadway performers, his research and goals focus on providing transgender and gender nonconforming voice users of all types a safe, equitable, and inclusive environment in the musical theatre voice studio. As a performer, Deonté has most recently been seen in Nashville Rep's RENT as Angel. Previously, they were seen on Broadway in Disney’s Aladdin, on cruise ships sailing the world, and touring the United States, Canada, and Japan in productions of Sister Act and Dreamgirls. Deonté's debut album Love Essential (Live in New York) can be found everywhere music is streamed and sold.
